Packing is the most essential part of your move. However, it can be hard getting all of the right moving boxes and other moving supplies that you need for your move. Choosing the right packing materials is not an easy task.

You should plan your packing process well and to make your move as smooth as possible. Before you begin packing, you should determine the number and types of moving boxes you need as well as the amount of other packing supplies you will require for your move.

Methods
- Gathering packing supplies before you start. There’s nothing more frustrating then having to stop half-way through a packing session in order to get more supplies.
- Pack heavier items on the bottom
- Stuff socks, scarves, pillow cases and other small fabric items in holes and crevices in boxes – just make sure you keep pairs of socks together.
- Make sure all boxes can close properly and be sealed so the tops are flat. If you over-pack a box. You risk damage to the contents.
- Pack small items in small boxes and place them into a large box. Label all boxes, large or small.
- Small, loose items should be boxed or bagged and sealed securely before placing into a larger box.
- Wrap all fragile, breakable items in paper before packing them in boxes
- Pack large and heavy items first, smaller items next, filling in all empty spaces with plain newsprint
- Label boxes clearly : Your name, room where the box should go in your new home and a brief description of the contents
